Space for Community Webinar Series

Following the release of the Space for Community Final Report SPRE and its municipal members prepared a series of webinars exploring some of the key topics highlighted in the study.

On June 2, Jacqueline Gijssen (SPRE) and Jennifer Johnstone (Central City Foundation)  discussed key findings of the Space for Community Final Report, highlighting real estate challenges faced by not-for-profits, social enterprises, and artists. They also presented opportunities and recommendations for the sector.

On June 9, Ada Chan Russel (City of Vancouver) and Lesley Sherlock (City of Richmond) showed how both Cities are working to help the social purpose sector, including not-for-profits, social enterprises, and artists, in finding and securing spaces for their activities through policy and new initiatives.
